Model Railway Exhibition

The Leighton Buzzard Railway is proud to host one of the most varied and exciting model railway shows to be found in southern England, on Sunday 19th May. Spread across two parts of the site - the Community Room and the very atmospheric engine shed, displays will include N-gauge and 009 layouts (4mm to 1 foot scale).

There is even hoped to be some 16mm to 1 foot scale layouts with live steam (in a 'garden railway' style), and American NG railways with sound-fitted locos to provide even more excitement and interest. Many of these dioramas depict scenes from the UK's incredible railway history, whilst some are based on fictional locations on real-world lines.

As well as enjoying these beautiful works of craftsmanship from around the region, visitors can enjoy an 85-minute train ride through urban and rural Central Bedfordshire, taking in the historic Stonehenge Works station and witnessing the Industrial Train Demonstrations on one of Britain's only double mainline-tracked narrow gauge railways.
