VIP Experience Packages – £200

Ever wanted to experience our railway from the perspective of a driver and guard? Now you can with our VIP experience packages.

The Package is for the VIP and one accompanying person. The latter would travel and partake in meals etc. but would not have the guard or footplate experience. The VIP should wear stout footwear and close fitting clothing. Shorts, skirts and sandals are not permitted in the cabs of steam locomotives.

The VIP must be aged 16 or over and able-bodied – hi-vis jackets and work gloves will be provided. The tour will be accompanied throughout by a ‘host’ volunteer.

How to book

Let us know your requirements using the VIP Experience option of our contact us form or phone us on 01525 373888. Once an enquiry has been made our VIP Experience Booking Clerk will get in touch with you to discuss the exact details.

Please note

As an all-volunteer organisation our ability to offer a VIP experience will depend on the staff that we have available. A minimum of four weeks notice for a VIP booking will be required and longer would be preferable. We are unable to offer the experience at shorter notice. The booking will be provisional until confirmed by the VIP Experience booking clerk which we aim to do within 14 days of the required date.

This experience is not available on Special Event days (dates can be checked on application) and there is no discount facility to members.

Participants will be given day membership cards as part of the package. At the end of the day they will be given full membership for a year.
