As part of their Memory Floor their railway memorabilia includes a picture of PC Allen and residents and staff hope to raise up to £500 towards the Engine’s restoration.

Jon Preston visited Kelly Cox the Customer Relations Manager to launch the month of fundraising activities. He presented Kelly with our 2026 calendar, leaflets and a train collection box specifically donated by Chris Ablett.

Activities planned include a pyjama day, a bingo session with a pair of complimentary tickets as a prize, and buying a square on a map to win a prize. A sponsored walk equivalent to the length of our line is also being contemplated. Any funds raised by Leighton Rose will be matched by their parent company, Macc Care, which adds greater incentive to their activities.

We wish Leighton Rose residents, families and staff the best of luck with their fundraising efforts and look forward to welcoming them to the station for a charter train ride.
