Teddy Bears' Picnic

Bring teddy for an adventure along the Leighton Buzzard Railway. With additional activities and our impressive vintage steam engines - it’s a day out your teddy won’t forget! Even better, children who bring their teddies ride free.

Our Teddy Bears' picnic will be on Sunday 4th and Monday 5th May, trains will follow our blue timetable, this means a choice of five trains to ride each day, starting from 1030.

Before your train departs Page’s park, look out for our resident bears and their friends around the station. You, Teddy and your family can then enjoy a 90-minute steam train ride along an exciting, three-mile route built over 100 years ago - keep an eye out for our demonstration sand train as you climb the demanding Mundays Hill! Your journey will include a 25-minute stopover at our historic Stonehenge Works station, here you will find our fantastic crafts and refreshments shop (featuring local artists' work), museum exhibits and a childrens play area. Visit the footplate of our steam locomotive Penlee, where you and Teddy can see what it’s like to be a train driver. 

How to claim your free child's ticket

*Free Children’s tickets can ONLY be purchased from our booking office on the day of your visit. Each child must have a Teddy Bear with them in order to claim a free Child’s ticket. To be sure of your seats book Adult tickets ONLY, Free children’s tickets CANNOT be booked online.
Children’s tickets booked and paid for online CANNOT be refunded by presenting a Teddy bear on the day.
